By accessing or using the tonescript platform ("tonescript", "we", "our", or "us"), including the tonescript Chrome Extension and the Web Portal (tonescript.cc), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service & Credit Model

tonescript provides language-learning tools, pronunciation guides, and phonetic subtitle transcription for foreign songs.

• Free Tier: New registered accounts receive 10 complimentary credits and unlimited access to pre-cached demo songs.
• Pay-As-You-Go Credits: Users may purchase credit top-up packages (e.g., 100 Credits for $7.99 USD) to unlock and transcribe new foreign songs.
• Song Unlocks: Spending 1 credit unlocks a song permanently for your account across all phonetic transcription modes (Sing-Along intuitive guides and Tonal romanization).
• No Expiration: Purchased credits do not expire as long as your account remains in good standing.

3. Digital Goods Delivery & Fulfillment Policy

All purchases on tonescript are for intangible digital goods (service credits). Upon successful payment processing through our checkout provider, credits are automatically and instantly allocated to your user account balance. No physical goods will be shipped. If you experience any delay in credit balance reflection, please refresh your dashboard or contact our support team.

4. Refund & Cancellation Policy

We stand behind the quality of our service and want you to be satisfied with your learning experience.

• 14-Day Refund Window: You are eligible for a full refund on any purchased credit pack within 14 days of purchase, provided the purchased credits have not been spent.
• Partial Usage / Technical Faults: If a technical issue on our platform prevented lyrics or phonetic guides from generating properly for a track, we will refund the credit to your account or issue a proportional monetary refund upon review.
• How to Request a Refund: Send an email to support@tonescript.cc with your registered account email, Creem order reference, and reason for refund. We review and process valid refund requests within 3 business days.
• Subscriptions: tonescript currently operates on a non-recurring credit top-up model. There are no recurring auto-billing charges to cancel.

5. Merchant of Record & Payment Processing

Our order process and payment transactions are conducted by our Merchant of Record, Creem (creem.io). Creem handles billing customer service, tax calculation, and PCI-DSS compliant payment processing. When purchasing credits, you will be redirected to a secure Creem checkout surface.

7. Acceptable Use Policy & Content Guidelines

You agree to use tonescript solely for lawful, educational language-learning purposes. You agree not to:

• Submit, upload, or generate content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, sexually explicit, NSFW, defamatory, or infringing on third-party rights.
• Attempt to bypass API rate limits, credit balances, or authentication security mechanisms.
• Use automated bots or scrapers to extract generated phonetic guides in bulk without permission.

8. User-Contributed Lyrics & Copyright DMCA

When submitting plain text lyrics via the fallback contribution panel, you represent that you have the right to submit such text for non-commercial phonetic translation. tonescript respects intellectual property rights. If you believe any contribution infringes your copyright, submit a takedown request to support@tonescript.cc with proof of ownership. Verified infringing text will be removed within 24 hours.
